Halloween 2011 for the Ralphs

The kids switched into more costumes this year than they ever have. Ethan went to a dance as Frankenstein, then to school as a "Men in Black" guy with suit and shades and then Halloween night he dressed as a scarecrow to pass out candy to the kids. Jake started off as a biker dude with a long blonde wig but decided to go as a rocker instead and leave the wig home. Brad went as Joseph Smith to his school party. He still had his long hair which he slicked back on top and then pulled the sides forward like Joseph used to. I wish I had taken a picture of him before he left the house-he really did resemble him and some of his friends even guessed who he was. (after school he wanted his hair cut so I didn't get a picture of him as Joseph) He had several teachers compliment him on his costume. I was a little worried that he might get made fun of but apparently all went well. He even took Dennis mission scriptures that have the leather cover with engravings on them. Dennis dressed up with his Eagles garb when he got home from work and took the three younger ones around for trick-or-treating. Ethan stayed with me and passed out candy but as soon as it was dark he took a chair out to the porch and told me to stay inside:) (he is too old to be seen passing out candy with his mom and wanted to do it by himself). Kids had a blast with their daddy and got way too much candy, as usual!

They all look so good! Like Brad's new haircut! Your house looks amazing. Look at you Martha Stewart! Only in utah could you go dressed as Joseph Smith. Love it!

I noticed your "scarecrow" was trying to avoid having his picture taken on the porch! Looked great and very festive. That's crazy that they changed costumes so many times. I really wish you had a picture of Brad as "Joseph Smith" but I do love his new haircut...looks like Brad now. Before, I was always missing him and have to go back and say...Oh ya, that's Brad! Cute kids and cute costumes. I love the little artwork on the door (behind the likely culprit) "Welcome to our home" with a flower...very cute!
