We bought our Christmas tree last night. It was Jake's turn to pick it out and he said, "I don't want a tall tree". So, he picked this cute little one and this morning we woke up and decorated it to the sounds of Dean Martin's Christmas music. The kids were excited (at least the younger ones-Ethan slept in). As you can see, we have a hard time keeping a shirt on Ava girl. (She's just like her momma used to be). Dennis and Ethan then went outside to put lights on the house. Now I can start wrapping presents!

at least no one needed a ladder to put on the ornaments. I am a little envious of you getting outside lights on. I love houses that have them. I hint and hint but Rick doesn't take me up on it. SIGH
I am sighing right along with you! Scott has never put outside lights up either. Love your tree Nichole! I miss the Christmas tree scent!! Sure it smells and looks like Christmas at your house!
it's so funny that you mentioned the smell-that's what my kids said the minute we got the tree into the house and every morning when i step out of my room i'm greeted with the sweet smell of pine! ethan had to do a "family" service project for scouts so he had to do the lights (with dennis guiding him of course). this is the most our outside has been decorated ever (i'll take a picture tonight)
