July 4th 2019. Irene and her boys, David and Thomas, came to visit and watch fireworks with us again. It has become tradition for us to get together for this holiday. She took her boys and Eli to hike the "Y" as well. This would turn out to be Dad Merrill's last 4th of July. I'm so glad I have the photo of him and Mom in their rocker. And the picture of Mom with Jesse's hat on is hilarious. That's quite to side eye she's giving.

That picture of mom sure captures her attitude! You captured so many of Dad's lasts. I still can't really wrap my brain around the fact that he is no longer here!
