Jake turns 14 years old!

On the balcony at Don and Jill's in Henderson, Nevada

San Clemente, California (first day)

At Pebble Beach/Monterey area in California

Jake finally got to see the Golden Gate Bridge

So handsome!

My little Juicy is now 14 years old! I can't believe he is now a Teacher and will soon be getting his Patriarchal Blessing. He's been wanting to get his for a while now so he spoke to the Bishop this last Sunday about getting it. I can't wait. It seems to help kids with their self esteem and confidence to know that God knows them and what they are personally wondering about and to have those questions answered in those special blessings.
Jake is such a joy to me! He is kind and thoughtful and always willing to help with anything I need help with. He loves his siblings and enjoys spending time with them. He is especially aware of his little brother, Eli, and is very protective of him. People see him as a shy kid but that's only until he trusts you enough to open up and be himself. He is funny and has the best sense of humor. He loves photography, dreams of owning his own real estate company some day, loves the ocean, sunshine, and palm trees. He loves friends and cousins and spending time with family.
I can't wait to see what the future holds in store for this kiddo! I love my Jakey Juice more than I can ever express!

First Day of School (August 22, 2016)

Ava girl going into 3rd grade.

She really was excited that school was starting even though her face says otherwise. :)

Brad going into 10th grade.

I forgot to have Brad hold up his fingers to represent what grade he's in. It was too early to think clearly. :)

Jake is in 8th grade this year.

I love this boy's style. He picked out his clothes and found a new favorite store this year. H&M will have a new customer!

Chocolate Eyes and Cousins

My sweet darling girl!

For once, Jake captured this boy with a "normal" smile. :)

Jakey Juice

Just look at those Junior Mint eyes!

Autumn looking a bit like Farrah Fawcett. :)

Jake did a photoshoot with Autumn. She sure is a pretty girl!

Isn't this boy the cutest?! I love his new haircut!

More pictures from Mister Jake. He is so good at capturing people and I'm so thankful he likes photography. If it weren't for him, we wouldn't have pictures at all.

Friends

Mitchell York, Brad, and James Hanna

Brad has some good buds in the neighborhood. Mitchell and Brad have been  friends for the last 8 or 9 years.  James joined the posse a few years ago. They sure have a good time together and are such good boys! Sp grateful my kids have such good kids to pal around with! It really does make such a difference in a child's life.

Sibling Love

Ava sure loves her big brother.

Eli loves big brother too but his chocolate milk maybe a bit more. :)

Photoshoot with Little Bud

Jake wanted to do a photo shoot of Eli so he fixed his hair (Eli came running down to show me). Then he took him out to different spots and even had a sheet as a backdrop in a few.
I love this little bug so much! He is lively and fun and has just enough mischief in him to make life interesting. He brings so much joy into my life and I'm so grateful he was sent to me!

The Jim Nantz project

Well, here is the range hood that Dennis and the boys did while in the Monterey/Pebble Beach area. Dennis was surprised to see the owner, Jim Nantz, the first day. He was a commentator for ESPN for years I guess. The name sounded familiar but I wouldn't know him if I saw him. He told Jake and Brad to follow him outside and gave them a few hats. So cute.
Dennis said the boys worked hard and Brad wanted to keep going the first night until about 8:00 or 9:00 pm. There was a Denny's close to the hotel they stayed at so they went there most nights. Sounds like they all had a great time together.

San Fransisco

Either the Bay or the Pacific Ocean

Jake loved the city.

Lots of old Victorian style homes.

There was a fire close by and the air was smoky and cloudy.

Jakee Juice

Brad and Jake at the Ocean. You can tell it was a bit chilly.

Jake said the water was only about 40 degrees. He said it was really cold, not like San Clemente.

Checking out the beach

Blondie-Blue

Jake sure was happy to be back in California

My boys!

This boy is so handsome! Even in his work clothes. :)

What a beautiful place!

Jake exploring the rocks.

More exploring
Love this Gorgeous boy!

Brad is getting so tall!

Jake jumping up in front of the Golden Gate Bridge

Look at these two tourists! Everyone else is wearing coats and hats
and these two clowns are in T-shirts and tanks.

Looking up at the Bridge he was dying to see.

My handsome hubby decided to let his facial hair grow a bit while in California.
I think he looks great with a goatee! But, it didn't last long.
He shaved it off as soon as he got home.

Another of Jake and the Bridge

San Fransisco. They said the streets and parking were just crazy.
Hills were so steep that it felt like they were going to tip over.
