Eli's new Spiderman bed

Brad putting Eli's "new" bed together.

Eli, helping with his bed.

This boy is all about Spiderman lately.

Enjoying his very own bed for the first time!

One happy boy!

Well, it's happened. All of my children are sleeping in their own beds! Ava and Eli have been sleeping partners for the last few years but Brad recently moved downstairs into Ethan's old room so we separated the two munchkins. I knew Eli would have a hard time and probably end up in bed with me and Dennis if I didn't make it fun for him so I showed him a few kid beds from Wal-Mart and he wanted Spiderman, only Spiderman. We had a couple of bunk beds out in the garage but they were brown so I went and bought red and blue spray paint and some Spiderman bedding and got to work. I sprayed the headboard red and the rest blue. (The kids all wanted to spray too so it turned into a fun family project) Then I started to help Dennis paint the doors (He's redoing our whole house) so Brad and Jake put the bed together and then I put his sheets and blanket on. And Eli has been sleeping in his own bed every night since. In fact, he kicks everyone out and wants his door closed. Not a bit scared to be by himself!

What a great job you did! So cute! He probably imagines himself Peter Parker and is brave!! Nice to not have him sleeping with you I imagine!
