Ellie wanted us all to send her a picture of our Christmas stockings displayed in our homes. Well, ours are a bit of a hodge podge mess but the kids love them so I guess we'll keep them just like they are. When Dennis and I got married, I went to Michael's craft store with Mom and I bought two plaid stockings with little bears on them (Mom bought the same kind for Marty and Dana). A couple years later, we had to get one for Ethan but I couldn't find any to match ours so I bought him the green one with Santa on it. Then along came Brad and Jake. Guess who's stockings they have? I know, it sounds horrible but they have the stockings that used to belong to Marty and Dana. That's why they match with mine and Dennis'. After the boys, came our little princess so of course she has one that say's "Spoiled" and is bright blue (her favorite color). And last but definitely not least, is our Eli. He has the biggest of all with a photo of himself in his first football uniform. So that's the story behind each of our Christmas stockings.
I have suggested we all get matching stockings because I do love it when I see stockings that are at least matching in colors or themes but they won't hear of it! They each love their "own" stocking so ours will remain a bit of a mess but that sums up our family pretty well:)
