Ethan bore his testimony on Sunday. The next day I called the YW President about the upcoming activity and she told me how much she enjoyed his testimony. She said she was telling her mother about it and they both started crying. She said her husband walked in and asked if she was okay. Ethan was telling the ward of how he and his dad were talking on their way to the winter camp-out with the scouts. They were having a conversation about music and then Dennis said, "Well, do you want to know what I listen to?" and he turned it to Christian rock (his cd player is broken-he normally loves to listen to church cd's-which of course Ethan didn't mention). Then Ethan tells the Ward, "I was just thinking how I wish the whole Church could be like my Dad. I just wish we could all surround ourselves with good things". The YW President said, "really, what 14 year old boy says what's in his heart like that?" I love my Ethan. What you see is what you get. He's got a good heart, I hope he continues to seek to surround himself with "good things".

So glad to see you back! I agree with Ethan. Dennis is an awesome example of righteousness and such a good man for Ethan and your boys to look up too! Ethan was such a joy to have in our home. He is just a good kid, with a great personality. My girls were feeling a bit sorry for him after Christmas because Grandma seems to have his name on her voice dial!! Feeling bad for him prompted Morgan to go out and help shovel the snow. (I thought that was a little out of character at the time!)
He is so patient and does what ever grandma says. Amazing for a boy his age.
thank you so much. he is very patient with his mother too;) i loved how morgan and lexi went out and helped him shovel-such sweeties. i hope all of our kids continue to desire what's right. i'm so grateful for husbands who are good examples and try so hard to help their kids (we are truly blessed!!)
YEAH!! WELCOME BACK!! What a sweet tribute to both boys! (I found an old picture of Dennis recently and my kids remarked about how young he looked--he still looks young!) My teens still love their parents too and I'm grateful for that!!! It's a blessing all three of us girls have!
i know-it is such a rare thing really! dennis has always looked younger than he is. the sun and wind will catch up with him eventually-then maybe we'll look more the same age;)
What a great tribute to his daddy! It is wonderful when teens still love their parents! You have raised a great son! I'm finally getting back to my blog. I have decided to update every Sunday when possible. Hugs!
