So sorry but this is the only picture I have of our "Merrill" Thanksgiving. I took my camera but arrived before anyone else so I thought, "I'll just take mom and dad's picture first and everyone else later." But of course, when everyone else came I forgot with all the commotion and getting things ready. We had such a good time and really enjoyed visiting and laughing together. And of course, the food was delicious!

When I picture the ol' homestead this is exactly how I picture mom and dad even down to those shoes she is wearing. I am glad you all had a great time! I miss the pies.
WOW, you really do morph into your parents! That's exactly how are grandparents were every time we visited them---sitting in their chairs...sometimes reading and looking at the newspaper but sometimes just sitting! LOVE this picture! It's a glimpse of home! Thanks for posting it!
that is so true-grandma and grandpa always sat across from each other and so do mom and dad most of the time. once in a while they will curl up on the couch beside one another but this is how it is mostly. we didn't go over board with the pies this year. we made 2 blueberry, 2 apple crisp (home made) and a pumpkin, pecan, and banana cream (store bought). can't wait to see you girls! sorry i haven't posted anything-haven't been very good at taking pictures.
