brad turns 9

well, little brad turns 9 today. he can't wait until he hits "double-digits" next year. we are letting him invite two buds to go with him to a new place called, "pirate island" . it's a resturant with live "pirate fights" ever half hour, and has arcades and lots of fun. they even have themed rooms for private parties. brad likes to try his hand at different things and so this year we bought him a skateboard with all the pads. we'll see if he takes to it or not. i'll take pictures of the party and of him skateboarding and load them as soon as i can.

family dinner

had everyone over last sunday for dinner. we had such a fun time. mom,dad, dave, dean's family, and rachel's family were all here. 'ol dave got to watch the canada vs. usa hockey game and everyone got into it (except mom, dad and i-we were visiting downstairs). we had a good dinner of fettucine alfredo with spinach and chicken and bacon (in the sauce) and mom and dad brought a delicous fruit salad and orange drink and alisa brought a scumptious choc. cake and ice cream with all the fixings. the kids had such a fun time playing and horsing around. we need to do this more often. i think the last time we were all together was at christmas. everyone is just so busy during the school year.
i need to get a cord still for my camera so i can download pictures-maybe in a couple of weeks.
